SATURDAY AFTERNOON SPECIAL SERIES

July 12 from 1pm to 3pm
Therapeutic Series with Jaya: Neck $25
 
These therapeutic classes are designed to help people gain control over their pain, taking the pain in their hands rather than being controlled by the pain. Jaya will use various props to show how to adjust for the pain, and how to safely decrease the pain. She will explain and demonstrate the proper range of motion for the topic area and ways to manage the pain when at home. What if you don't have knee, lower back or neck pain? This class will still teach you about the proper range of motion and alignment.

The BKS Iyengar Yoga Studio of Dallas announces the continuation of the series of Iyengar Yoga Student and Teacher Asana Workshop Series and Teacher Training Weekends with Intermediate Senior I Certified Teachers, Eddy Marks and Mary Obendorfer. Each weekend will include asana classes for students and separate teacher training sessions for teachers.  You will go home feeling exhilarated with the knowledge that will develop, advance and enhance your practice and / or your teaching skills! Eddy and Mary asanas classes are enlightening plus totally fun…join us for this incredible workshop series!

If we integrate Buddha's teachings into our daily life we shall be able to solve all our inner problems and attain a truly peaceful mind. Buddha taught that everything depends on the mind. This series of teachings contains practical step by step methods to use the basic and profound teachings of Buddha so that we may establish peace and happiness in our mind. Each class includes teaching, meditation and discussion. EVERYONE is WELCOME!
CLASS TOPICS will ANSWER INQUIRES INCLUDING: What is Meditation? What are the benefits of Meditation? How to begin Meditation?
 What can I expect? A typical class consists of a gentle relaxation meditation, talk on positive thinking, discussion, and final meditation. The meditations are guided and are suitable for beginners as well as the experienced. Each class is self-contained so feel free to join at any time during the term!
